Fabulous yet natural…

It’s no secret I love to get pampered every now and then. It’s about time I fill you guys in on some of my beauty secrets, most of them start at the Renew Beauty Med Spa, where i’ve been going since 2017.

Growing up my mom always taught my sister and I about skincare, so I was never afraid of products, facials, and loved learning about it all. I have so many friends though that fear messing with their skin… I get it, it can be scary. Especially if you want that subtle and natural look, which I love. BUT if you go to the right professionals it’s nothing to be afraid of.

Below I will list my top 4 favorite med spa treatments, in no specific order. I teamed up with Renew Beauty to make a video of each treatment so ya’ll could see the entire process.

Let’s begin!

Protect, Renew, Pamper, Prevent…

Renew beauty Med Spa

Botox

  • EXPLAIN? This one scares so many people. Don’t be scared, please! Just go to the right professional med spa and do your research. My mom has been getting Botox since she was in her 40’s, that’s about 10 years. She has never once looked crazy, or fake, or scary. For someone like my mom, Botox helps reduce the image of those deep lines and wrinkles on her forehead, helping her look youthful. For me, it’s preventative. I’m only 26, but I started when I was 24 ish, going about 2 times a year for some simple injections.

  • DISCLAIMER? Everyone is different, just because I started at 24 doesn’t mean you should or have to, AT ALL. You need to seek advise from a medical professional. Everyone’s muscle strength and lines are different and the professional will cater your amount of units to your specific face.

  • WHY DID I START? Honestly, I wanted to be proactive in fighting the wrinkles. The way my doctor explained it is this… you want to target those small lines and wrinkles early, before they become deep big wrinkles. The earlier you tackle them, the less likely they will show a big appearance down the road. Again, in my opinion, this is a WANT, not a NEED.

  • DOES IT HURT? Nope, I don’t think so. It pinches a little, but you barely feel a thing.

  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Everywhere is different, from my experience most Med Spa’s are about $10-$15 a unit, but don’t be fooled, it can add up quickly. My mom usually gets 50 units every 6 months (for her whole face). I get 15-20 units (for my whole forehead) every 6 months.

Blue Light Acne Treatment

  • EXPLAIN? This treatment helps clear that pesky acne that just won’t go away. This was my first time getting this treatment. It’s a series of 9 treatments, done about every 5 days throughout 6 weeks.

  • HOW DOES IT WORK? This procedure delivers a heat source directly to the bacteria and kills it off.

  • PROCESS? They take a bright light and zap all over your face, and no it doesn’t hurt haha, just a small little zap feeling, but not painful. It’s super quick too, only about 15 minutes long. No redness, no downtime. You leave and go about your day as normal.

Laser Hair Removal

  • EXPLAIN? Goodbye to shaving, and annoying hair. I personally hate shaving, and have always had bumps or redness or razor burn. Ughhhh it’s the worst. .

  • PROCESS?

    • No self tanner, no tanning outside, clean shaved, no deodorant, no perfume, etc.

  • HOW OFTEN DO I GO?

    • 4-6 treatments, every 4 to 6 weeks, but this varies depending on the spa and the area you’re getting treated.

HydraFacial

  • EXPLAIN? Oh how I love this facial so much. Where do I even begin, this facial is basically for looking fabulous;, glowing, healthy, hydrated, refreshed, and clean.

  • WHAT DOES IT DO?

    • Helps with; fine lines and wrinkles, elasticity and firmness, even tone and vibrance, skin texture, brown spots, oily and congested skin, enlarged pores
